Our Hebrew School meets on Sundays. Our calendar is coordinated with the public school calendar.
We offer programs starting with Tots at 4 years through Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Our curriculum offers a supportive space for children to not only learn essential material about Jewish tradition, but the reasons why we observe these traditions and how they speak to our lives today.
Our Hebrew School Parents' Association sponsors family activities for holidays and other projects.
In order that our students experience the prayers and traditions they study in class, we ask that they attend a once-monthly Junior Congregation held the second Saturday morning of each month, from 10 - 11:15am. Bar/Bat Mitzvah students are also required to attend one Friday night service per month. We encourage parents to attend these family oriented services with their children.
Please call the synagogue office at (718) 356 - 8740 to learn more about the registration process and answer any questions you may have.
All classes meet for two hour Sunday sessions in two shifts between 9:30am and 1:30pm. Student placement in a class is determined by Hebrew reading level combined with sensitivity to the child's age group. Our Tots program meets for one hour each Sunday from 10-11am.
